Harley-Davidson Audio Upgrade
Upgrading the audio system on a Harley-Davidson touring bike—like a Street Glide, Road Glide, or Ultra Limited—is one of the most rewarding mods you can do. Done right, it adds clarity, power, and bass that cuts through wind and road noise, even at highway speeds. Harley Davidson motorcycles are iconic, and your sound system should be too. We have all the software and equipment to program your factory radio when aftermarket components are installed. *This must be done with any aftermarket changes to the audio system.
The factory sound systems that come on Harley-Davidson cruisers are not ideal. Adding an amplifier can increase volume without distorting the sound. We carry Rockford Fosgate and a variety of weather proof speakers and amps. We ensure that every connection is both electrically and mechanically secure. All wiring is bundled and routed along factory wire channels to ensure it remains properly protected and doesn’t rattle or buzz while you are driving. We use corrosion-resistant hardware to ensure everything remains serviceable for decades.
How We Mount the Speakers on a Harley Touring Bike:
Fairing Speakers (Front)
- Most Harley touring models come with speaker locations in the inner fairing (batwing or sharknose).
- We use custom-fit speaker adapters or pods that mount directly into the factory speaker cutouts.
- High-quality water-resistant speakers (like Hertz, Rockford Fosgate, or Focal Powersport lines) are installed and aimed for optimal direction and sound clarity.
Lower Fairing or Highway Bar Speakers (Optional)
- If your bike has lower fairings, we can mount additional speakers in those pods.
- Some setups use clamp-on speaker housings for crash bars, ideal for bikes without lowers.
- These enhance midrange and widen your soundstage.
Tour Pack / Saddlebag Lid Speakers (Rear)
- For rear audio, we mount speakers in the Tour Pack pods or in aftermarket saddlebag lids with pre-molded speaker grilles.
- Saddlebag lid kits come with waterproof gaskets and drainage to protect components from rain and washing.
Amplifiers & Wiring
- We mount compact, weather-resistant amplifiers under the fairing, gas tank or in the saddlebag with stealthy, secure brackets.
- All wiring is marine-grade and routed cleanly through factory channels where possible, with quick-disconnects for ease of service.
