At Mobile Dynamics, installation is performed by our expert team and includes everything needed to make your vehicle look incredible. Typical installs will take at least 2 days depending on complexity of vehicle.

Why Installation Takes Time

  • Remove the Headliner
    The vehicle’s headliner (the interior roof panel) is carefully taken down to provide access for drilling and fiber placement.

  • Plot & Map Star Layout
    A design is mapped out across the headliner to evenly distribute 400–1000 fiber strands, simulating a natural night sky.

  • Drill or Punch Holes
    Each star point is created by making tiny holes through the headliner at the plotted locations.

  • Insert Fiber Strands
    Fibers are threaded through the holes from the back side, then trimmed to flush with the surface for a seamless look.

  • Secure & Reinstall Headliner
    Once all fibers are placed, the headliner is reinstalled back into the vehicle with the strands intact.

  • Mount Light Engine & Power Wiring
    The 16W dual-port light engine is mounted in a concealed location (often the trunk or headliner cavity) and wired into the vehicle’s 12V system.

  • Final Testing & Trim
    Excess fibers are snipped to uniform length, and the system is powered up to test colors, twinkle, and music-sync functions.

*NOTE: We do recommend that vehicles with light colored headliners have us rewrap the headliner in black fabric as this will improve appearance (not included in standard price). Price listed is for most vehicles. Sunroofs, complex headliners, and certain larger vehicles like vans can be more expensive. Please reach out for a firm price.
